OSHA Partnership

Better health and safety for construction workers is the goal of the strategic partnership launched by ABC Keystone and the U. S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

A key goal of the partnership is to increase the number of ABC member companies in the Association's Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) -- a voluntary program that guides employers in evaluating and increasing the effectiveness of their safety and health programs, policies and procedures.

Other objectives of the partnership include reducing injuries from falls, struck-by and caught-in mishaps and electrocutions, and mentoring STEP applicants to move from Bronze to Diamond, ABC's highest STEP award level.

On October 20, 2016, ABC Keystone hosted the signing ceremony of our five year OSHA Partnership agreement. This new agreement will carry ABC, and those members that sign up to participate, through October 2021. We want to extend a special thanks to Dale Glacken, Compliance Assistance Specialist, OSHA, Harrisburg Area office, for being present and participating in the signing.

We encourage every member firm that has participated in STEP to sign up for the partnership and take advantage of the benefits that go along with it.
