Fundamentals of Crew LeadershipBy: Instructor, Leo Willman

So you want to be a Leader. Or, would you be happy being a Manager? Leaders have followers. Managers have people who work for them. You can be both if you want to be. Know that leaders and managers are not born. They both need training, experience and a desire to accept greater challenges and more responsibility. They are not necessarily the best mechanics. It is not an easy path but a rewarding one. The greatest reward for leadership is leadership itself.

Leaders know who they are and where they are going. They are driven towards the best possible outcome with the resources they have. And, when their work is done, people say “We did it ourselves.”

One of the best ways to get started on your transition from manger to leader is by attending ABC’s “Crew Leadership” course. Start your leadership training and find out if this is what you are cut out for.
