Over the past year, through the dedicated efforts of member volunteers and staff, the Keystone Chapter has seen significant accomplishments in workforce development initiatives, advocacy efforts, business development opportunities, safety training and career education. Over the course of 2019:

  1. 59 new members were welcomed into the Chapter, and 2,798 members attended 23 networking events throughout the year
  2. Members testified on apprentice-to-journeyperson ratio reform legislation, and ABC PA packed the room with over 50 members in attendance
  3. ABC PA Members sent over 200 letters to legislators on urgent policy matters, shattering all previous alert records
  4. Government Affairs held three advocacy events with nearly 100 members interacting directly with lawmakers
  5. 412 Apprentices representing 7 different trades started the 2019 school year gaining in-demand skills and opportunities for  successful careers in construction
  6. Twelve new articulation agreements were signed with area entities bringing valuable pre-apprenticeship education to additional students
  7. 1,061 students from across the region attended workforce development events held at Chapter headquarters increasing their construction career awareness
  8. 31 Training Facility tours were offered to students and educators during the year enhancing ABC Keystone’s visibility as a career resource
  9. 826 attendees benefited from 77 Safety Training classes held in addition to apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship safety training
  10. 1,314 participants attended 81 Career Development courses enhancing their professional career growth
