The Keystone chapter board of directors approved the recommendations for endorsement of six candidates last week, just weeks ahead of the May 15th primary election.

In the 30th state Senate district, which extends from Blair County to Cumberland County, ABC has endorsed Rep. Judy Ward (R-Blair), who currently represents the 80th state House district. The Senate seat is being vacated by Sen. John Eichelberger, who elected not to run for another term in the Senate, but rather to seek the Republican nomination for the 13th Congressional district. Rep. Ward has an A+ rating with ABC in the House.

In the 28th state Senate district, which encompasses much of York County, ABC has endorsed Rep. Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York), who currently represents the 93rd House district. Hill is seeking the Republican nomination for the Senate seat after Sen. Scott Wagner announced he would not run for another term in the state Senate, but rather is seeking the Republican nomination for Governor. Hill has a B+ rating with ABC in the House.

ABC has also endorsed three incumbent House members: Rep. Greg Rothman (R-Cumberland), Rep. Sheryl Delozier (R-Cumberland), and Rep. Dawn Keefer (R-York), who have all maintained B+ or better ratings with ABC.

Finally, in the 199th state House district, Rep. Steve Bloom has elected not to pursue another term, but rather to seek the Republican nomination for the 13th Congressional district, leaving a vacant seat. ABC has endorsed Barb Gleim of John W. Gleim Jr. for the 199th House district.
