(MANHEIM, PA.) The Keystone Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) is pleased to announce that G. David Sload, current Interim President, has accepted the position of President-CEO for ABC Keystone, effective August 25, 2017. Mr. Sload has been Interim President for the Chapter since June 30, 2017, and prior to that he served as Vice President of Education & Workforce Development. He has been a staff member of the Keystone Chapter for the past 6 ½ years.

I am confident Dave will be a strong leader, and ABC Keystone will continue to be a high performing chapter of ABC and a great value to our members,” said Donna J. Shoff, H.L. Wiker, Inc., Chair of the ABC Keystone Board of Directors.

Mr. Sload has been actively involved with ABC since 1994, having served on several committees, including the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. In 2000, he also served as Chairman of the Board of the ABC Keystone Chapter. During his tenure with ABC, David has been instrumental in promoting workforce development. His insights and leadership regarding workforce development efforts in the construction industry has been sought by the community at large, recently earning him a position on the Lancaster County Workforce Development Board.

It has always been an honor and privilege to be part of ABC Keystone,” said Mr. Sload. “My goal will be to always challenge the members, the Board and the staff to ‘Dare to Soar.’ With this attitude, the legacy that was set in motion by the founders of ABC in 1958, will continue to grow, and with this our members will also continue to grow and prosper.”

Mr. Sload, who graduated from the Thompson Institute in Harrisburg, with an Associate Degree in Architectural Design and Drafting Technology, brings 39 years of industry background. David currently lives in Conestoga with his wife Debra.
