FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – January 14, 2020

(MANHEIM, PA.) The Keystone Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) is pleased to announce that on January 20, 2020, at the Inaugural Dinner & Annual Meeting (Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square), the Chapter’s Immediate Past Chair, Douglas M. Dvorchak, ARM, Assistant Vice President, Murray (Lancaster) awarded the 2019 “Chair Award” to James Stephens (Lititz), CFSP, Clark Associates, Inc. (Lancaster) for his volunteer service and impactful legislative affairs efforts supporting the merit shop mission. Current President-CEO, G. David Sload presented the “Distinguished Service” Award to Cynthia M. Field (Mt. Joy), former ABC Keystone Vice President (retired 9/2019) for her 38 years of service to the Keystone Chapter.

Each year, the past Chair is given the opportunity to recognize individual members whose service to ABC, and the construction industry, went above and beyond the call of duty. During his time on the Government Affairs Committee, Stephens has been passionate about sharing with legislators how current legislation impacts the construction industry and workforce development.

The “Distinguished Service” Award has only been given to nine other individuals since the Chapter was chartered in 1959. During her time with ABC, Field first was employed as an administrative assistant and through her dedication and continual growth within the association, she served as a Director and ultimately as Vice President of the Association. Field was recognized as a mentor for both staff and members over the years.

Both Stephens and Field are great champions for ABC and fine examples of faithful leadership. The Chapter congratulates both on receiving these awards.
