(Harrisburg, PA) The five chapters of the Associated Builders & Contractors throughout Pennsylvania met earlier this month to evaluate candidates for statewide elected office and have endorsed five aspirants for the Commonwealth’s appellate courts in 2017. For Superior Court, ABC PA has endorsed Judge Emil Giordano, Judge Wade Kagarise, and Lancaster County District Attorney Craig Stedman.  For the two open seats on Pennsylvania’s Commonwealth Court, ABC PA endorsed Judge Christine Fizzano Cannon and Paul Lalley.

“These candidates for statewide appellate judicial positions have proven themselves to be not only fair-minded in their approach to the law, but committed to constructionism,” said Marianne Hazel, President of ABC’S Central Pennsylvania chapter. “These candidates are uniquely qualified for judicial service and will undoubtedly make excellent jurors on some of Pennsylvania’s most important issues.”

“Judges Giordano and Kagarise, as well as District Attorney Stedman, all have demonstrated their experience and thorough understanding of state law in matters of general jurisdiction and will be exceptionally competent jurors who will not legislate from the bench,” said Dave Sload, President-CEO of ABC’s Keystone chapter. “Judge Cannon and Paul Lalley will unquestionably share a similar approach to their roles on the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court.”
