Microsoft Project is a powerful tool for planning\, organizing\, and tracking tasks to help ensure projects stay on schedule and deadlines are met. If you’re already comfortable using Excel\, you’ll find many familiar features and functions\, making it easy to build on your existing skills without starting from scratch. \nTopics to be covered in this course are: \n\nUnderstanding the Microsoft Project Environment\nCommon techniques used in MS Excel\nProject terminology\nWBS –Work Breakdown Structure\nCreate and manage a new project\nTasks\, Timelines\, Task Duration\, Task Links\nDisplay the Critical Path\nShorten the Project Duration\nSet a Baseline\nCreate a Master Project\nViews & Tables\nResources and Assignments\nReports\nExport to Excel and other sources\nUse PowerPoint for Project Update Reports\nTips & Shortcuts\n\n\nInstructor: \n \nLiz Hornberger\, President & Founder of PC Focus \nPC Focus began its 35th year\, on January 15\, 2025\, providing training and other services in Central Pennsylvania. Elizabeth Hornberger\, president of PC Focus\, founded the company in January 1990. Liz has been in the computer training and development business for over 35 years. She continues to run PC Focus with the same philosophies that sparked this career many years ago. \nLiz is also a part-time adjunct professor\, teaching Gen ED computer classes at in Lancaster. It is a privilege to teach and to prepare students for “real-life” and how computers will impact them now and in their future endeavors.
