As a Young Professional, how has your involvement with ABC Keystone helped you?
I have only been a member of ABC for a few short months but growing up in the industry and in Lancaster County, I’ve known about the Chapter since I was young. I’ve already met and connected with several professionals, made some new friends, as well as contributed to making Central PA a better place. Being a part of ABC Keystone has been valuable to me.

As a Young Professional, how has
your involvement with ABC Keystone helped you?

As a transitioning military member coming back home, ABC has provided me with an extensive network to get involved with local young professionals. ABC has been a great source of networking events and connections to local businesses. I am looking forward to continuing my participation and growing with ABC Keystone and the community in Central PA.

What is your favorite or inspirational quote?
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

I am sure it is not every day someone in the professional world says their favorite quote is from the movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” but this quote is truly one of my favorites. One of my greatest fears in life is looking back one day and feeling like I missed opportunities or did not appreciate the special moments which didn’t seem big at the time. This quote helps to keep me grounded and to remember to stop and appreciate even the small things through all the noise and stress of a fast-moving life!

What words of advice do you have for your fellow Young Professionals?
It is important to seek out a financial planner early in your career. Get out of debt, stay out of debt, and save for the future. Starting to save early allows you to take full advantage of a friend called “Compound Interest.”

As a Young Professional, how has your involvement with ABC Keystone helped you?

Being a part of the YP Committee has helped introduce me to new networking opportunities, hone my professional skills, influence our industry with a group of peers, and more. I think the greatest opportunity for me has been to push myself outside my comfort zone with networking. I encourage other YPs and co-workers of mine to get out there and meet other people in the industry, because it helps you grow your people skills while building an industry network that has real benefits.

As a Young Professional, how has your involvement with ABC Keystone helped you?
I am involved with ABC because I love opportunities to learn and develop my professional and personal skills. ABC gives me the opportunity to meet new people, network, and gain new skills. I get to learn things about all the many facets of construction. ABC also offers a place for me to volunteer, which I’ve always enjoyed.

As a Young Professional, how has your involvement with ABC Keystone helped you?
I enjoy meeting people in the industry and learning more about what people do outside of just the accounting for the business. I look forward to getting back together and networking after the pandemic.
