Seminar Overview:

The ABC Project Management Institute (PMI) is developed by experienced contractors and Kirk Alter, a nationally recognized subject matter expert with decades of project management experience. This course is designed specifically to meet the needs of today’s contractors.

This highly interactive rapid paced course focuses on project management essentials using real and relevant examples and case studies. Participants will obtain the management tools and skills needed for individual success and a positive impact to their organization while gaining a comprehensive understanding of successfully handling all aspects of project management.

This program is 80 hours of instruction in two non-concurrent 40-hour sessions with an interim period between classes for applied assignments and reporting. Classes are in session from 8:00 a.m. through 9:00 p.m. and include a welcome dinner and a closing graduation banquet.

Participants must attend both weeks of the session to complete the course. Class size is limited to 24 participants (THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT!) to provide an interactive experience and to allow the instructor to be fully available to the attendees.

Please note: Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided throughout the course for participants. Class duration is from 8 am – 9 pm, with homework given most evenings.  Participants need to be prepared to be disconnected from work and fully available for this opportunity. If you live more than 20 minutes from the ABC Keystone Chapter, it is highly suggested registrants stay at the suggested hotel for the course. Participants will have group work that will need to be completed some nights throughout the week.

While all written course materials and manuals are provided, attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet computer for ease of reviewing the materials and assignments during the session. Attendees will be given assignments to complete in the interim between sessions 1 and 2 that are considered a part of the course curriculum. Participants choosing not to complete the interim assignments may be denied a completion certificate.
