Over the course of three days, 200 area middle school students from Lancaster, York and Lebanon Counties will be attending this year’s Construction Wars, an interactive career exploration event to experience hands-on activities with the help of construction professionals. During this Construction Wars event, students will have the educational opportunity to see our training facility, work with tools, understand safety requirements, and learn more about the skilled trades. Students will be building wood laptop stands, testing electrical circuits, bending sheet metal to make their own tool boxes, and more. Educators will learn what the construction industry needs in its future workforce and how careers in skilled trades are a viable, well-paying alternative to college.

One middle school student who attended last year responded:
“This event is one of the best events I’ve attended. I would recommend this to a friend. Construction is a lot more fun than I thought it would be.”
Directly from an administrator/teacher:
“This was an outstanding introduction to different trades and at the right age. Get the kids involved early! Thank you for inviting us!”
