Description:
Many field personnel rig, but not many are trained. Rigging fails happen often & they are usually rooted in lack of training. The rigger didn’t know the load weight, how much their gear could handle, how sling angles & sharp bends reduce rigging capacity, what to look for when inspecting gear, how to properly use their gear… things you better know if you’re going to be involved in this type of work. Come invest a day and learn about all of this & more… with hands-on activities!
In this hands-on training, your crew will learn:
- Causes that can be attributed to most rigging fails
- How to select, inspect, & use common rigging gear
- What factors diminish the strength of rigging
- How to create a basic rigging plan & incorporate proper rigging technique
- Proper application of mobile & tower crane hand signals
Who should attend?
- Field/plant personnel who must rig as a part of job duties
- Steel/PEMB/precast erectors
- Personnel setting rooftop units & MEP crews
