Preparation for the Electrician Wishing to Take the Journey or
Master Level Electrical License Exam!


Sessions Dates (12 Sessions):

February 6, 13, 20, 2024 | 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm (each evening)
March 19, 26, 2024 | 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm (each evening)
April 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30, 2024 | 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm (each evening)
May 7 & 14, 2024| 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm (each evening)

Note:
New students can register up until the 3rd class.
Students are to provide their own 2020 NEC Code book – contact Chapter to confirm the edition being used.


Who Should Attend:
Electricians who want to advance their knowledge and expand their understanding of the National Electric Code and electricians who have an interest in taking the Electrical Journey or Master Level Exams should attend. Prereq: 4th year apprentice or 5+ years industry experience.


Benefits of Attending:

  • Be fully prepared to take the Pennsylvania Journey or Master Level exam.
  • Utilize an NEC prep workbook in conjunction with the NEC Code.
  • Develop confidence in your ability to read, understand, and apply the NEC.
  • Understand your daily tasks and how the NEC applies to the method of installation

Class Details & Prerequisites:

  • Class size is strictly limited to 20
  • Prerequisite: 4th-year apprentice or 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Each class will end with a short NEC code test in a timed format.
  • Each class begins with a review of the previous class’s NEC code test
  • Students are to provide their own 2020 NEC Code book – contact Chapter to confirm the edition being used.

Instructor:
Drew Doxzon’s experiences began as a residential electrician while participating in the Maryland state apprenticeship program. For 40 years, he has been employed as a construction electrician (since 1977), and in the past, Drew has worked for James Craft & Son, Inc. He has held several job responsibilities, such as electrical journeyman, job foreman, superintendent, project manager, and department supervisor. Drew has experience in the commercial/industrial construction areas, and he has spent four years installing, wiring, and terminating medium voltage (25K) equipment and splicing. Drew also has an extensive background in low voltage motor and HVAC controls as well as experience in the design, installation, programming, and start-up of building automation systems. He has taught classes for 4th year electrical apprenticeship for the ABC apprenticeship program for nine years.


Registration Details:

Preferred Registration Date: Seven days prior to the first session. Attendees may register as late as session 3.
If you must cancel for any reason, please contact us immediately. Cancellations received less than 7 days after the start of class cannot be refunded; substitutions are permitted.

ABC Members may select the option to be invoiced. Non-members will need to please pay at the time of registration either via credit card payment online or by calling Kelly at the Chapter office: (717) 653-8106.
