This training program is intended to provide you with tools to improve your company’s safety program and better understand labor laws and private and public work acquisition.

Instructors:

Kelly Kramer, Rettew Associates, Inc., has more than twenty years of construction experience. He has worked in the construction field as a laborer, assisted in management of company construction safety programs and is currently performing safety consulting for Rettew Field Services.

Thomas R. Davies, Harmon & Davies, P.C., is a graduate of Lafayette College and the Duquesne University School of Law. This firm’s practice is concentrated in the areas of labor/employment law, construction law, and government contracting. Prior to coming to join the firm in 1987, Tom was a Trial Attorney with the National Labor Relations Board in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During his twelve years with that agency, Tom investigated more than a thousand unfair labor practices cases, conducted more than a hundred representation elections and tried many cases to successful conclusion. Since entering private practice, Tom has been extremely active working with employers in all industries, in areas such as organizational campaigns, employment discrimination claims and affirmative action. He has represented both public and private clients in a variety of forums including state and federal courts, courts of appeal, administrative agencies and before mediators and arbitrators. He represents and is active in numerous construction associations. Tom is a regular speaker concerning labor, employment and construction issues before business and professional groups. One highlight of Tom’s professional career was the opportunity to testify before a congressional committee which was conducting oversight hearings on the operations of the National Labor Relations Board.
