ABC chapters across Pennsylvania coordinated efforts and signed a statewide articulation agreement with the PA Department of Corrections. Often, an inmate is incarcerated at a facility away from their home. The new agreement provides returning citizens with access to all ABC registered apprenticeship programs in the Commonwealth and credit for their education while incarcerated. The Keystone Chapter is providing this forum for contractors and workforce professionals to help employers navigate the issues related to potential employees’ transition from the criminal justice system back to society.
This is the third session in a series of four forums. Upcoming event in this series:
Kurt M. Danysh is the Executive Director of Tomorrow’s Neighbors, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Carlisle, PA. He presently serves on a variety of Committees and Advisory Boards across the Commonwealth to include the Pennsylvania Reentry Counsel, Cumberland County Reentry Coalition, HEAL PA, and Shining Light Prison Ministry.
