Whether you’ve joined ABC Keystone for skilled trade apprenticeship training and education, for safety services, to support the merit shop philosophy and free enterprise – maybe all of the above and more – there is a fundamental value in all of this: The business development connections forged with your fellow ABC Keystone members.
Engaging with ABC’s membership pays dividends many times over, and a sometimes-overlooked, no-cost avenue is through committee involvement. Keystone’s eight standing committees address all of ABC’s functional areas, and there truly is a committee for everyone.
Many of ABC’s most satisfied members utilize this strategy of committee involvement to increase their impressions (one-on-one conversations) with ABC members. It’s a proven strategy that allows them to meet with ABC members monthly; it’s working for them, and it is likely easier to incorporate than you think. Participation in ABC’s Committees provides your company with twelve opportunities to make impressions through your monthly meetings and be in the conversation with ABC members each year.
All members are invited to attend the All Committee Kick-Off Meeting! The first committee meeting of the year is a joint meeting with all committees meeting at the same time. Members will hear encouraging and challenging remarks by the 2021 Chair, Cleo Weaver, Triangle Refrigeration Co., as he outlines association goals and initiatives for the upcoming year. Then, individual committees will get down to business as they will review their committee goals for 2021 and beyond, select committee meeting dates, and conduct their first business meeting of the new year. You won’t want to miss this Virtual Event!
ABC Keystone is a member-led organization, and our committees are the driving force behind the continued growth of the association and the value it brings to its members. Join a committee and develop new skills, create or strengthen business relationships, and gain valuable leadership experience all while advancing the association.
