Pennsylvania Capitol Building in Harrisburg

By: Brent Sailhamer, Director of Government Affairs

With a historic election in the books and another one right around the corner, there’s never been a better time to participate in ABC’s advocacy programs. With a number of committees, programs, and opportunities to get involved, the easiest is just a few weeks away!

Free Enterprise Day is your opportunity to show elected officials in Harrisburg how strong the merit shop is. On Monday, April 16, members from the five ABC chapters across Pennsylvania will converge on Harrisburg to meet with elected leaders and forge new relationships to strengthen free enterprise. The day starts with a gubernatorial forum featuring all three Republican candidates: Sen. Scott Wagner, Paul Mango, and Laura Ellsworth. Just weeks away from the May 15th primary election, this is your opportunity to decide who the best candidate is to take on Tom Wolf.

Following the debate, ABC members will get a briefing on current issues during lunch and then head to meetings with legislators from the House and Senate to discuss issues that shape the merit shop. Once meetings conclude, ABC is hosting a cocktail reception for all legislators from across the Commonwealth.

Whether you’re a veteran of ABC issues or this is your first Free Enterprise Day trip, this event is not to be missed. There’s simply no better way to take part in the process and help ABC achieve its mission!
