Role you play in your organization: 

At D.E. Gemmill, Inc., I am responsible for leading all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing marketing and communication strategies. My key responsibilities include business and market development, market research, strategic direction for promotions and advertising efforts, creating creative content, design and copywriting for digital and print assets as well as internal and external communications for our website, social media, PR, tradeshows, press releases and community engagement. I am also a founding member and President of the NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) South Central PA Chapter.

As a Young Professional, how has your involvement with ABC Keystone helped you?

In my opinion, the long-term success of any business is dependent upon the young men and women within that company. This year I had the opportunity to serve on the ABC Keystone’s Young Professionals Committee, which has given me many additional opportunities to facilitate growth and development personally and professionally. ABC has also allowed for me to have a better understanding of what is going on in the construction industry as it relates to politics.

Why do you wake up and go to work every day?

I am proud to be a working mother and hopefully a good role model to my son. I strive to share all that I can with him so he understands some day that there are no limitations other than the ones you set for yourself.
