Ty Molloy | Carpentry 3 | Benchmark Construction Co., Inc.

What made you choose carpentry? I chose carpentry because I do not like to sit all day. I need to be up and moving around. I am very good with my hands, so I knew I wanted to do something in this line of work.

What is your favorite thing you have learned in your apprenticeship program so far? My favorite thing I have learned so far is how to install ACT. 

What is one thing that surprised you about the trade you are learning? One thing that surprised me about carpentry is how much thought and stress goes into concrete.

What motivates you to work hard? I work hard for God because I know that His reward is far better than the one here on Earth.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In 5 years, I want to own at least 2 rental properties.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I love to golf, go to the gym, and literally anything else outside!

Are you a morning person or night person? Depending if it is the weekend or weekday, I am a morning and night person.
