Heavy Equipment Operator

Professionals who operate power construction equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth or to erect structures. These specialists master a wide variety of heavy machinery, including bulldozers, motor graders, excavators, front-end loaders, and scrapers, often using them to pour concrete or lay hard-surface pavement. Beyond just driving, they are responsible for performing preventative maintenance and minor mechanical repairs, such as adjusting handwheels or connecting hydraulic hoses. The role is high-stakes and physically demanding, requiring constant focus on safety regulations to avoid hazards like underground utility lines while working outdoors in all weather conditions.
