Description:
A strong understanding of safety and regulatory compliance is essential for construction professionals at every level. This session introduces the foundational elements of a construction safety program, OSHA compliance, and key federal and state regulations that impact daily jobsite operations. Attendees will also gain clarity on prevailing wage, misclassification, and legal obligations when performing public work.

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

• Identify the core components of an effective construction safety program
• Recognize OSHA’s “Focus Four” hazards and how to prevent them
• Prepare for and respond to OSHA inspections
• Understand employer obligations under state and federal labor laws
• Navigate compliance requirements on public (state and federal) projects
• Avoid common legal pitfalls like worker misclassification and improper payroll
