Description:

The Excel Basics course offers a concise yet comprehensive introduction to Microsoft Excel, ideal for beginners. It covers the Excel interface, including the menu bar, toolbars, formula bar, and workspace. Students will learn how to navigate and manage spreadsheets, use features like Auto Fill, Undo, and Format Painter, and understand how to enter and format text, numbers, and formulas.

The course also teaches how to create and copy formulas using basic functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, average, minimum, maximum, and count. Practical skills like opening, saving, and printing spreadsheets, adjusting column widths, aligning and orienting text, inserting or deleting rows and columns, and entering the current date are also included. With hands-on exercises, learners will build confidence in managing data and performing essential Excel tasks efficiently.


Course Prerequisite:

Must have Windows and mouse proficiency


Microsoft Excel Series

The Microsoft Excel Series is a comprehensive training program designed to guide learners from basic to advanced Excel skills. Each course builds on the previous one, offering practical, hands-on learning that helps users become more confident and efficient in analyzing, organizing, and presenting data in Excel.

Founder and President of PC Easy, Edie has been teaching computer classes since 1985. Edie is able to teach all of the classes shown in the Course Outlines. She also writes all of our manuals and does consulting for many area businesses.

Edie has an Associate’s degree from F&M and an applications software background as a user from working for several of Lancaster’s major employers. She was always the “go to” person for answers to computer or software related questions. She knows first hand what Managers and CEO’s are looking for in Documents, Data Analysis, Charts, and Presentations.

Edie takes great pride in her training and provides superior quality and consistent presentation for each class taught.
