The ABC Project Management Institute is a premier education and professional development opportunity for future project management leaders.
Developed by experienced contractors and Kirk Alter, a nationally recognized subject matter expert with decades of project management experience, this course is designed specifically to meet the needs of today’s contractors.
This highly interactive, rapid-paced course focuses on project management essentials using real and relevant examples and case studies. Participants will obtain the management tools and skills needed for individual success and a positive impact to their organization while gaining a comprehensive understanding of successfully handling all aspects of project management.
Course Information:
The ABC Project Management Institute was designed by and specifically for today’s contractors. Owners, project managers, estimators and any employee involved in managing projects are recommended to attend. This program is 80 hours of instruction in two non-concurrent 40-hour sessions with an interim period between classes for applied assignments and reporting.

Course Material
While all written course materials and manuals are provided, attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet computer for ease of reviewing the materials and assignments during the session. Attendees will be given assignments to complete in the interim between weeks 1 and 2 that are considered a part of the course curriculum. Participants choosing not to complete the interim assignments may be denied a completion certificate.

Why Attend?
This 80-hour interactive course uses real examples and case studies. The goal of the session is for students to improve their firm’s profitability and productivity, as well as increase quality and customer satisfaction.
Cost of $4,600 per attendee includes meals, course materials, a welcome dinner and closing banquet.
Expectations
Attendees of this course must understand that they are committing to completing the full 80-hour course. Registrants are required to be completely disconnected from work duties and should be prepared for all homework/assignments related to the course. Make sure you or your attendee(s) are completely prepared for this commitment.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made up to 60 days prior to the start of the first session will be offered a refund or a transfer credit towards a future ABC Project Management Institute in 2025. All refunds are subject to a $100 processing fee. Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to the start of the first session (including no-shows) cannot be refunded or transferred, no exceptions.
Registrants who have attended the first session but are unable to attend the second session will forfeit their space and registration fee. ABC reserves the right to cancel programs with low enrollment up to 30 days prior to the course start date. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to moyers@abc.org.
Requirements & Additional Information:
- Class duration is from 8 am – 9 pm, with homework given most evenings.
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided throughout the course for participants.
- Participants need to be prepared to be disconnected from work and fully available for this opportunity.

Accommodations:
Due to the class requirements, all students are strongly encouraged to stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites. Participants will have group work that will need to be completed some nights into early a.m. hours throughout the week.
