Troubleshoot Electrical Issues with Confidence!


Learn and Practice:

  • Electrical safety
  • Basic electricity, including circuits and meters
  • How to read schematics and diagrams
  • Troubleshooting through lab exercises

Note: Students must bring an electrical meter to the class that reads Ohms, voltage, and amperage.

The class size is limited to 12 participants. Register Early!

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for professionals in their first few years in the field looking to learn the basics of electrical used in the HVAC/R industry, including interpreting and troubleshooting HVAC/R wiring schematics and diagrams. This is not intended as a refresher for more experienced professionals.


Instructor:

Derek Robbins, ABC Keystone Director of HVAC:

Derek joined the ABC Keystone Apprenticeship Program as an HVAC instructor in August 2021 and now serves as Director of HVAC. Before joining ABC, Derek was an HVAC/R Instructor for Technology Learning Center and Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School in Massachusetts. Derek holds an EPA608 Universal Certification and has over 15 years of experience in the HVAC/R industry. At ABC, he instructs students in HVAC/R installation, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of residential and commercial HVAC/R systems.

If you must cancel for any reason, please contact us immediately. Cancellations received less than 7 days of the start of class cannot be refunded; substitutions are permitted.

ABC Members may select the option to be invoiced. Non-members will need to please pay at time of registration either via credit card payment online or by calling the Chapter office: (717) 653-8106.
