ABC Keystone Apprentices Receive Visit from PPL

Kristi Pronovost Apprenticeship & Workforce Development Blog, The Merit Shop Spokesman Blog

The rain held off on Friday, April 26th to allow for former ABC Keystone Apprenticeship graduates, Blair Snavely and Derik Carpenter, to review PPL’s safety procedures and policies with current first year Electrical apprentices. Blair and Derik also demonstrated the correct use of the required PPE equipment that is a critical part of their everyday work activities.

The students then moved outside to learn more about safety, job site communications, the electrical distribution network, electrical components, and test equipment. Real life experiences were shared between PPL and the students followed by a question and answer session to conclude the visit.

Thank you to PPL (Blair and Derik) for sharing your knowledge and experience with our 1st year apprentices.
