Manheim, Pa, June 16, 2022—ABC Keystone is pleased to announce the expansion of the Chapter’s service territory from an original 10-county footprint to 33 counties spanning central PA. The Central PA Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) has been consolidated into the ABC Keystone Chapter, made official by vote at the ABC National Board of Directors meeting on June 14, 2022, in Washington D.C.

The consolidation of ABC Central PA into ABC Keystone brings to construction industry firms and their associates an even stronger and more vibrant Keystone Chapter. This expansion of service territory benefits members across all 33 counties bringing increased business development and education opportunities to strengthen the Chapter’s 622 member firms and their associates and to educate and train their nearly 25,000 employees. ABC Keystone will continue the long tradition of excellence in member services that the Keystone Chapter has provided for over 60 years.

“We are looking forward to providing growth opportunities to members from all 33 counties throughout our footprint. This consolidation is a positive step forward for the construction industry as we work alongside our members to develop current employees and to build tomorrow’s workforce,” said ABC Keystone President-CEO G. David Sload. “Our team of 20 staff members are energized to provide expanded services to members in these 23 additional counties to increase their membership ROI and to advocate for their businesses. We are committed to ensuring the success of all our members.”

Following the consolidation, former ABC Central PA Chapter Chair of the Board, Eli Ace (State College), Nexen Construction, LLC (Julian), has been appointed as a Director of the ABC Keystone Board. As the Chief Visionary Officer of Nexen Construction and as an ABC National Tech and innovation Community member, Eli enjoys being on the front line of innovative technologies. He currently resides in State College with his wife, Dasha, and his four children.

ABC Keystone provides members access to nearly 200 career development education and safety training courses throughout the year. The Chapter’s robust networking events calendar brings member firms more than two dozen business development opportunities to help drive the successful growth of their businesses. A leader in workforce development, the Chapter’s PA-registered apprenticeship program provides education to build knowledgeable, skilled, and safe employees, and this training has consistently produced award-winning craftspeople at the local and national level. To serve all members, select education and networking opportunities will now be provided in the Nittany Valley region in addition to the ABC Headquarters (Manheim) region and the surrounding areas.
