ABC Keystone Merit Shop Advocacy Blog

Feeling a bit cooped up? Looking to get out of the house for an errand? If the answer is yes – and if you did not already vote by mail-in or absentee ballot – please take a few minutes to head to your local polling place to exercise your right to vote.

On this year’s primary ballot, voters of each political party will be choosing candidates that will run in the General Election for the following offices:

National Office

  • President of the United States
  • U.S. House of Representatives

State Office

  • Attorney General
  • Auditor General
  • State Treasurer
  • State Representative
  • State Senator (in odd numbered Senate Districts)

Voters, Republican and Democratic respectively, will also be choosing candidates for delegate and alternate delegate for the political party’s convention later in the year. Depending on where you reside, there may be local races or ballot questions to answer.

Please do your research! No matter who you support, your vote is important in any election. Your vote represents your choice in who should lead our nation, our commonwealth, and our communities. Your vote is also an important part in ensuring the merit shop philosophy is heard and represented as we engage with those leaders elected to public office.

As we do our part to ensure family, friends, and co-workers are safe, let all do our part to elect good leaders to office. Exercise your right to vote and stay safe!
