OSHA Recordkeeping

March 13, 2020  / 7:30 am – 11:30 am

It’s that time again…time to compile your 2017 OSHA #300A Summary Log and prepare it for posting.

But for many, maintaining OSHA injury/illness records is a source of confusion, misinformation and headache. Some companies rely on OSHA to identify their recordkeeping shortfalls, but this is a very expensive way to learn.

Other lessons can also be costly. Failing to prequalify for work because your company’s injury rates were too high or because you didn’t have accurate recordkeeping information to submit can cost your business money and harm its reputation.

Come join us on January 30 to take advantage of a session devoted exclusively to maintaining OSHA injury/illness recordkeeping and calculating injury rates. Our time together will provide you with the knowledge and skills you will need to confidently and correctly maintain your OSHA #300 & #300A injury and illness logs. This class will also review electronic reporting in order to keep your company compliant.

Benefits of Attending:

Take advantage of group learning by having the ability to ask and hear specific questions and answers in an environment that is comfortable and comprised of people who share common concerns.

Take the information from this seminar and use it to:

  • Produce timely and accurate OSHA injury/illness recordkeeping data upon request
  • Prevent costly OSHA recordkeeping fines
  • Correctly compute company injury rates (and prevent overstated rates) for pre-bid qualifications

Develop Your Knowledge and Learn More About:

  • Consequences of poor recordkeeping
  • Employer’s OSHA injury/illness recordkeeping responsibilities (29 CFR 1904)
  • OSHA form #300 and #300A
  • Determining incident recordability (what is recordable?)
  • How and when to record entries
  • Posting and retention requirements
  • Calculating OSHA rates – incidence rate and DART rate
  • Sample problems

Who Should Attend:

This program will be especially helpful to anyone who has been given the responsibility of maintaining OSHA injury and illness recordkeeping.

This may include:

  • Safety directors and administrators
  • HR and office staff
  • Safety committee members
  • Business executives
