By Cindy DeWire, Director of Apprenticeship, ABC Keystone

This month, The Keystone Chapter will host Construction Wars: A Middle School Career Exploration event and nearly 200 students will hear directly from construction professionals about the value of a career in the industry. The Chapter would like to extend a special thank you to the sheet metal apprenticeship classes for making all the pieces for the Construction Wars sheet metal tool boxes that students will be assembling during their visit.  Staff members Stephanie Larkin and Cindy DeWire had a chance to visit one of the classes held at James Craft & Son, Inc., and see firsthand all the time and skill involved in getting the materials ready for the middle school students.  Thank  you, also, to the sheet metal instructors and students for their time volunteering to expose future apprentices and trades people to the sheet metal trade.
