National Appenticeship Week ABC Keystone

By: Kristi Pronovost, Director of Marketing & Communications, ABC Keystone

The Keystone Chapter is proud of the 400+ apprentices and pre-apprentices who are training to build America through ABC Keystone’s education programs. With the staggering shortage of skilled craftspeople available to fill much needed positions in the industry, these students have the potential for very successful careers using the in-demand education and skills they are receiving. This week is National Apprenticeship Week, a time set aside across the nation to honor these hard-working individuals and to thank them for their commitment to the construction industry and to the communities in which we live.

This fall, the Chapter saw a record-number of apprentices enroll, and they have proven to be a dedicated group of students. Many arrive to class after a full day of work, and some are even returning home to families and a variety of other responsibilities once class ends. It is this strong work ethic that will continue to build America now and in the future. The Chapter’s apprenticeship instructors are committed to ensuring that these apprentices receive the education and training that they need to be successful in their trades. The companies for which they work are also committed to supporting their education, and they recognize the value of well-trained employees who complete top-quality projects skillfully and safely.

The Keystone Chapter will continue to celebrate these men and women during National Apprenticeship Week and throughout their careers. We encourage you to also take a moment to celebrate your own apprentices at your companies this week. Congratulations to all for choosing a career in construction!
