This course is necessary for the individual with little or no experience in construction.
The reading of construction blueprints is a foundational skill in construction. It is not terribly difficult, but it does require practice and some basic knowledge. All construction professionals, regardless of whether they are working in the field or in the office, must know how to read blueprints.
“This helped me gain a general understanding of blueprints and will greatly help when I do cost analysis work.”
– Gentry Radwanski, E.R. Stuebner, Inc.
“I got a better idea of how to address and look at a blueprint.”
– Andrew Enck, Enck Brothers Drywall, Inc.
Mastery of blueprint reading will come with practice and with using blueprints on the job on a regular basis. The confidence of students will be increased with the time and experience gained through participating in this practical hands-on course and through class activities, and homework assignments.
