In 2019 and 2020, significant changes are in effect for presentation of GAAP-basis financial statements. Contractors could be specifically affected because of the two changes, one to revenue recognition, and the other to how to account for leases.

Kevin heads the firms Construction practice area and is a member of ABC Keystone’s Education and Young Professionals committees. He has been in public accounting for nearly 10 years, and as a manager of audits, has worked with many complicated GAAP topics.

Dan Massey, CPA, Principal, Assurance Division, Walz Group

Dan oversees the Assurance Division of the firm, which handles all financial statements of firm clients. In public practice for almost 20 years, Dan has presented multiple times on GAAP standards and has written for ABC Spokesman as well as for the BIA and other trade publications. He is active in the construction, live event, and nonprofit sectors of the firm and is the current chair of the C.O.R.E. Task Force with ABC Keystone.
